My Story – The Short Version…(and it comes full circle to the picture)

But first, let me tell you why I’m here with a blog. I’ve learned from my life’s adventures the greatest reward for me is helping other people succeed, so briefly…I’m here to inspire, enlighten, motivate, stimulate, make you laugh, make you smile, share what I believe is valuable insight. You’ll understand where all this comes from after you read my story

I spent many years in the corporate world as a secretary and loved it. But then one day I got laid off? Ever been there…been there as a single mom, just getting her feet on the ground and the rug was literally pulled out from under you??? What do you do – you look for another job, right?

Down The Road…

So after 24 years of being in the corporate world, I followed an interest of mine that soon became a passion.

I fell totally in love with selling advertising, and went on to create my own magazine, and it’s still being published 21 years later by my former employer. When I started making them tons of money they decided they could do it themselves and wouldn’t have to pay me commission. The owner always introduced me as the ‘Golden Girl of Advertising’ – but they just wanted the golden eggs, without the goose! Sound familiar???

This time, however, things were a little different. You know how your kids grow up and they leave home? My kids grew up and I left home! I moved to Virginia and became a top earner at two different resorts selling vacation (time share) properties! And although I won several sales awards, my favorite award was for the Best Attitude another story for another time. (Subscribe to my video series to hear that – coming soon)

Wichita, Kansas…

Fast forward, along came grandchildren and my kids in the Air Force were transferred to Wichita, KS. And it was the right time for me to become a very involved and connected grandmother, and back to being a close-by Mom, so I decided to get back to family…

I soon discovered there are no resorts to sell in Wichita; (well, okay I knew before I got there…) I’ve been here 16 years so let’s leap ahead. My number one priority when I moved here and still is, is to have my FREEDOM to spend lots of family time with these kids and grand kids.

And so my search began for something I could do to that gave me lots of free time. I got back into advertising as an independent contractor and went from one crazy situation to another. I’m sure you have been there yourself, just get secure and whap, down you go again.

I was tired and discouraged and figured it was time to put the energy I had been giving to others, not to mention, my heart and soul, into a business of my own!

Here’s what I desperately wanted…

• Number One first and foremost - to be my OWN Boss (The name on the boat is “NO BOSS”

•  My efforts making tons of money for me instead of building someone else’s empire

• Complete control over my time and earning power – I love to travel and play

• To be able to help other people in a more direct way, offering them options

• To hang out with successful people that would be willing to help me succeed, too

• To become a leader with a team of like minded people

• An internet business making multiple streams of income

Guess what – I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!

All my research brought me to a network marketing business that gave me all of the above and so much more…and as they say, ‘the rest is history’. I will tell you it didn’t happen over night, but I was on a mission to find the right fit and that’s what I want to be sure to share with you…and what an incredible adventure of connecting with people I would never have met any other way. I have friendships that are over the top and will be with me even if the businesses disappeared…that is more priceless to me than all the money we make in our fun businesses.

I was lucky to find my passion…

There are a lot of choices out there, and I went through quite a few before I found the perfect fit, the best advice I’ve ever been given is ‘find the company that most aligns with you.’

I was lucky to find something that is high tech, and high touch. Combing two of my favorite things for business…Relationships and the internet. And now I have the perfect marriage of two services that everyone loves and can use…plus we have fun and it’s so easy and I love fun and easy!

And to bring you up to date

I have been known as the ‘Smile Ambassador’ for quite some time (when I was in my motivational speaking phase)…and so I have embraced the philosophy of always passing on a smile…I’ve always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but it wasn’t until I became apart of the companies I embrace that I was really able to do just that! And now I get to hear and feel the real impact of ‘touching’ people’s lives when I introduce them to the fun I’m having. And most importantly, together we are making a difference!

I became a personal development ‘junkie’ when I got into my sales career and know the impact that has had on everything I do. In fact, I started my own company, With Enthusiasm Productions, to be able to impact more people by presenting seminars and sharing all that I had learned along the way to short circuit their learning curve. I fulfilled my desire to become an expert in the field when I received my certificate as a Certified Trainer in Personal Development. And just last year was a collaborating author in “A Journey Within: Self Discovery For Women” My chapter is my story of change and growth entitled “Stop The Ride! Taming the Emotional Roller Coaster”

I still love to get up and entertain people with my crazy sense of humor, but I love expanding my world here on the net and hope to meet many of you. My main purpose for this blog is to inspire you, encourage you, and enlighten you on what has helped me in my personal and professional life.

My mission and purpose in life is to connect with people that have a positive mindset, embrace enthusiasm and love sharing and giving to others in order to help other people on their road to success. I believe in shedding a light to help someone get a better perspective on their situation and adding laughter to life.   For me, there is no greater joy than to know that I have made a difference, and when I hear the laugh or the aaah-hah, it feels sooo good!
